We’ve all heard of spam, right? This isn’t surprising considering that an estimated 107 billion spam emails are sent every day, and that’s every single day. Not only are they malicious, but they can destroy your productivity. So how does Gmail solve this problem, and what can you, as a Gmail user, do to keep yourself as safe as possible?

What is Gmail spam?

No matter how long you’ve been using Gmail, you’ll encounter Gmail spam at some point. Despite their best efforts, some emails keep getting through the complicated spam blocking process
The most common versions of Gmail spam are messages that try to get you to share personal information or emails that contain malicious programs (usually in attachments) that try to steal your personal information.
